Aiden meets an author!
Aiden and I are big fans of a book series called Fablehaven. The author is Brandon Mull and he was at the Deseret Book yesterday signing books. We waited 2 1/2 hours outside in the slightly chilly air and it was totally worth it. Can you see how happy Aiden was? I don't think I've ever seen him more excited. We recommend the Fablehaven series to everyone. They're awesome!

Snow Day
Garrett and Drew are in a craft club. The moms take turns having playdates at our homes and we make crafts. In January we had so much snow that we decided to take the kids up on the mountain to play in it.
The boys had a great time rolling snowballs down a really steep hill. The snow was so sticky that you could see the snowballs getting bigger as they rolled down and they made tracks in the snow.
We made a cute snowman with a funny hairdo. It was fun to see all the snow people as we drove up the mountain. We even saw some snow bears.
Of course, you can't play in the snow without hot chocolate. It was such a beautiful day that we really didn't get cold. It was a perfect snow day.

Christmas 2009
Maddi was Santa in our Christmas Eve play. Good job, Maddi. Santa has never been so scary.

My Son the Sewage Processing Plant
Aiden came home one day in December and said, "Mom, my class is doing a play about the water cycle. I'm a sewage processing plant. I need a costume by Friday." OooooKaaaay.
This is the awesome costume I came up with.

Brace Face
Aiden got his braces on Friday. He was actually excited about it. When we left the orthodontist's office he said, "That was awesome!" I took this picture for my blog and when I showed it to him he said, "I look cute." Aiden has excellent self-esteem. He was not so excited about it this morning when he woke up, though. His mouth was hurting. I'm afraid to tell him that it will probably get worse.
