The First Day of School 2010

I can't believe my babies are in kindergarten!

Garrett

Look at that cute face!

Drew

Another cute face.

Aiden is in 5th grade this year. Where did the time go?

Parks is as photogenic as usual. (Sorry Parks, your mom and dad aren't photogenic either.)

The twins on day #2. We had to get different school shoes for them. They couldn't keep the other ones on their feet. Drew lost his shoe the first day as he was running after me and crying hysterically. They have some separation anxiety issues. Hopefully it will get better.

Garrett is very informative when it comes to telling me what he does at school. Aiden and Parks are just the opposite. They won't tell me ANYTHING about what happens at school. The first day Garrett said they found their name on their table, practised writing their name, and then drew a picture. They sat on the rug criss-cross-applesauce and read a really funny story about some animals who went to school. Garrett said, "We're not allowed to talk in our class, at all." I said, "You mean unless you raise your hand?" He said, "No. We can't talk. We can't even whisper." Once, Garrett hears a rule, he makes sure everyone is obeying it. Today, when I picked them up Garrett said, "Mommy, I'm so glad to see you. I missed you." Then in the car he said, "Mommy I like you. I wish I had a phone. Then I could call you at school. But I don't know your phone number." Then he wanted to know my phone number, so I taught it to him.

24th of July

We were invited, along with Grandma, Maddi, Aunt Hillary and her kids, to my Aunt Karen's cabin at Navajo Lake over the 24th of July weekend.

We couldn't keep the boys out of the fire. Little pyros.

Aiden and Emma on one of our hikes.

Two little peas, Garrett and Drew.

Sawyer and his famous baseball hat. (He never takes it off)

Hiking buddies.

We made it to the top of a really steep hill.

Aunt Karen took us to a pond about 5 miles from her cabin that was full of all kinds of things boys love: snakes, snails, frogs and pollywogs.

Cordell is training to become the next crocodile hunter.

Libby Loo, cute as can be.

Emma and McKayl didn't want to hold the snakes at first, but it didn't take long for them to become snake charmers. They even put them around their necks! Ewwww!

Cordell caught some frogs that still had their tails.

When you have four big brothers like Jaycee does, you can't be afraid of a little snake.

After the snake fest, we tried fishing at Navajo Lake.

McKayl was the only one who caught a fish.

Cute girl twins.

Cute boy twins.

Libby is a great fishing buddy.

All the kids: L to R, the ones behind the other kids are McKayl Scott and Aiden Noble. The kids sitting on the log are Drew Noble, Garrett Noble, Parks Noble, Emma Scott, Mitchell Smith holding Jaycee Smith, Logan Smith and Cordell Smith. The kids in front are Libby Scott and Carter Smith.

We took a hike to Cascade Falls. The scenery was beautiful.

Thank you Aunt Karen and Uncle Dennis for a great time!
