Aiden got his braces on Friday. He was actually excited about it. When we left the orthodontist's office he said, "That was awesome!" I took this picture for my blog and when I showed it to him he said, "I look cute." Aiden has excellent self-esteem. He was not so excited about it this morning when he woke up, though. His mouth was hurting. I'm afraid to tell him that it will probably get worse.

Twins 4 year old pic
Drew and Garrett
The twins turned 4 back in September, but I just got around to taking these cute 4-year-old pictures of them. I am trying to learn how to take better photos. Hopefully I'll have some cute ones of Parks and Aiden soon.

Down on the Farm
We spent Halloween at Grandma's house. While we were there, we stopped by Staheli Farms for some farmy fun.
Our first adventure was the corn maze.
We broke most of the corn maze rules including the no throwing corn rule...
and the no cutting through the corn rule.
But, we did manage to find our way to the end of the easy maze even though we were lost most of the time (hence the cutting through the corn).
Next, we checked out the playground complete with horsey swings...
...and slides...
...that ended in a pile of corn.
There was a petting zoo...
...and a cow train pulled by a tractor.
Finally, we went to the pumpkin patch to find the best over-priced pumpkins Grandma's money could buy.
E-I-E-I-O!
October Track Break
Aiden and Parks had the entire month of October off for track break. October is my favorite time of year because it's finally cool enough to play outside and it's the beginning of all the holiday fun. I tried to keep the kids busy with Halloween crafts. Thank goodness for Family Fun Magazine.
This is the haunted house project.
It turned out really cute, but for some reason I forgot to take a picture of the finished product. Trust me, it was SPOOKtacular!
We also made origami bats, miniature mummies, and new ornaments for our Halloween tree. We must have listened to Wee Sing for Halloween at least 50 times. I had a fun track break. I hope my boys did too.

Aiden's Beachy Birthday
Aiden requested a trip to the beach for his birthday this year and since the twins have never been to the ocean before, it sounded like a good idea to me.
We packed up and headed to Newport Beach, my dad's old stomping ground.
We found a dead baby stingray. AWESOME!
We did a little shell collecting.
We turned Aiden into a mermaid.
Parks did a little sand castle building.
We got a little sand between our toes.
We took the beautiful Maddison with us.
Doesn't she look like a beachy kind of girl?
We stopped at Downtown Disney so Aiden could spend his birthday money at the Lego store.
That is one BIG giraffe!
I think everyone had a great time. Happy Birthday Aiden!
